Vol. 361 No. 8

Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Special Classes.

241.

asked the Minister for Education if she will provide the necessary facilities in one of the schools in the Clondalkin area for those students psychologically assessed as requiring special education; and if she would agree that adequate facilities are not available for such children.

An application for the provision of a special class for pupils assessed as mildly mentally handicapped has been received from the schools serving the Neilstown, Rowlagh and Quarryvale areas of Clondalkin. My Department is at present considering how best to provide this facility in the light of the accommodation situation in the schools in question.
