The table following sets out, in respect of the current budget deficit, the budget estimate, the outturn as published in the budget booklets, and the outturn presented as a percentage of GNP for each of the years 1975 to 1984. The budget estimate for the current budget deficit for 1985 was £1,234 million, equivalent to some 7.9 per cent of GNP.
