asked the Minister for Labour if he will provide details of the number of AnCO operated community youth training programmes which have been completed in County Limerick; and the duration and number of jobs created by such programmes since Ireland became a member of the European Community; and if he will also provide a global figure for the value of European Social Fund aid provided for the operation of these programmes.

Since the commencement of the community youth training programme (CYTP in 1976 the total number of completed CYTP projects in the Limerick area is 43. The average duration of CYTP projects is approximately six months. The total number trained on the CYTP projects run in County Limerick from 1976 to date is 3,218. Since 1976 the total expenditure on CYTP's in County Limerick is £4.8 million of which £2.6 million constituted European Social Fund Aid.
