My Department have agreed in principle to the proposed extension of Coldwood national school, County Galway, and its professional staff are now preparing a sketch scheme for the project. The remaining stages of planning will include the negotiation of a suitable local contribution, the formal sanctioning of a grant for the work, and the preparation of contract documents. I am not in a position at this stage to say when tenders may be invited for this project.

My Department hopes to be in a position in the near future to refer to the school authorities for their consideration a sketch scheme for a proposed three classroom building for Lisheenkyle national school, County Galway. The remaining stages of planning will include the negotiation of a suitable local contribution, the formal sanctioning of a grant and the preparation of contract documents. I am not in a position at this stage to say when tenders may be invited for this project.
