The number of applications received monthly for the £2,250 new house grant scheme since 1 October 1986, is set out in the following tabular statement. A total of 376 approvals issued up to 24 April 1987. First instalments of the grant amounting to approximately £55,000 will be payable in 1987. It is not possible to estimate the number of applications for the grant which might have been received in this year had the grant continued.
