asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, she has regarding the provision of third level regional colleges at Tallaght, Clondalkin, Lucan and Blanchardstown, County Dublin; and the time scale for the three regional colleges.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 613 and 616 together. Detailed architectural planning of the RTC for Tallaght is proceeding. It is expected that it will be possible to commence preliminary planning of the Blanchardstown college late this year. It is not possible to give a time scale in either case as progress is subject to the constraints on capital resources.
There are no plans at present for a third level regional college in the Clondalkin-Lucan area.
