Vol. 372 No. 1

Written Answers. - Castleknock (Dublin) School.

617.

asked the Minister for Education when approval will be given to St. Brigid's national school, Castleknock, Dublin 15, for the urgently needed extension to replace the inadequate prefabricated buildings.

In January 1987 my Department informed the authorities of St. Brigid's national school, Castleknock, Dublin 15 that it was prepared to grant aid the provision of an extension at the school to replace the present prefabricated classrooms at the school. The replacement accommodation was to comprise four system-built classrooms and five prefabricated classrooms.

An outline sketch plan for the proposals was received in March 1987 from the school authorities architect but shortly after that a revised projection of enrolments was made which appears to indicate a revision of the brief for the replacement accommodation. My Department has the matter under consideration and will convey a decision to the school authorities at the earliest possible date.
