Vol. 372 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Kildare School.

618.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed new primary school at Allen, Kilmeague, Naas, County Kildare; the remaining stages to be processed before it goes to tender, whether it is envisaged that the project will go to tender in the current year; whether there is likely to be any delay in attaining the contract stage; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has sanctioned a grant towards the cost of the proposed new national school at Allen, Kilmeague, Naas, County Kildare, and revised working drawings are now awaited in my Department from the chairman's architect. The remaining stages to be processed before the project goes to tender are the completion of working drawings and the preparation of the bill of quantities. I am not in a position at this stage to say whether the project will go to tender in the current year, or whether there is likely to be any delay in attaining the contract stage.
