Mr. Stagg

asked the Minister for Energy (a) the names and addresses of all persons appointed to the boards of semi-State companies operating under his Department for each year between 1983 and 1987 inclusive (b) the remuneration paid to each person so appointed for each year between 1983 and 1987 inclusive and (c) the total cost of such remuneration for each year between 1983 and 1987 inclusive.

asked the Minister for Energy if he will give details of the membership of each semi-State and State-sponsored body under his aegis giving the names, period of appointment and remuneration to date including all expenses paid and any other payment including foreign travel.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 125 and 127 together.

Details of the current membership of each State-sponsored body under my aegis including the annual fee of each member and of other appointments to the boards of these bodies between 1983 and 1987 are set out in the following statement. The information sought in relation to the total annual cost of remuneration, expenses paid and any other payments is a matter for the day-to-day administration of the bodies concerned. For the purpose of their service on State boards, addresses of members are those of the bodies to whose boards they have been appointed.
