Work on the construction of the new runway at Dublin airport is progressing satisfactorily and is on target. It is expected that the project will be completed by early summer 1989. It is not proposed to hold a public inquiry into any issue connected with the construction of the new runway. All environmental issues were examined in depth before the decision was made by the Government to approve the construction of the runway.
