asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the architectural section of her Department in having the plans for a secondary school (details supplied) in Couty Meath approved as these plans were passed by Meath County Council, her Department and the Department of the Environment at a meeting in October, 1987; and if she will make a statement on this secondary school.

It is presumed that the Deputy is referring to the proposed community school for Ashbourne, County Meath and not a secondary school as stated in his question.
My Department has recently agreed to proposals to dispose of a one acre area of the school site, to enable the County Council to undertake a proposed road development scheme.
Arrangements are in hand to inform the interested parties involved of these developments.
