asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of all provisional grant allocations for sporting and recreation organisations in respect of the 19 projects mentioned in the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 140 of 2 February, 1988.

The number of provisional grant allocations, which was 19 when I gave the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 140 of 2 February 1988 now stands at 25.

Details of the projects in question are being circulated in the Official Report. Further provisional grant allocations will be made shortly.

I must emphasise that the grant allocations in respect of these projects are provisional at this stage. Confirmation of these grants will be subject to full compliance with the terms of the capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities, and no work should be undertaken or commitments entered into in these cases until the availability of the relevant grants has been formally confirmed by my Department.
