All aspects of the potential impact of the completion of the EC internal market in 1992 are being considered at the present time. The question of whether it may be necessary to obtain an exemption from European Community legislation to preserve the monopoly status of the VHI in this country after 1992 is at present being considered in my Department together with other related issues.
