Except in emergency cases the Cork Passport Office does not issue passports. Applications received at the office are transmitted to Dublin for issuing.
The total number of applications received and transmitted in this way in 1987 was 9,764, which was 5.18 per cent of the total issued for the whole country in the period in question.
