asked the Minister for Education if she will give favourable consideration to an application from the Newbridge Town Commissioners, County Kildare, for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery towards the completion of the Newbridge athletic track; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

It is not possible to allocate a grant for the completion of the Newbridge athletic track as grants up to the limit of funds available have already been allocated under the capital grants scheme for the provision of recreational facilities.
