The most up to date statistical data in my Department concerning future post-primary developments in the Castleknock area relate, primarily, to local primary school enrolments. These indicate that, for the present, my decision to defer provision of a new post-primary school in Castleknock remains the correct one, given the level of surplus post-primary accommodation available in adjoining, accessible areas.
The number of pupils which it is anticipated will be leaving primary schools in Castleknock in each year up to 1996 is as follows:
