Ceist:52 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to amalgamate the town of Drogheda Vocational Education Committee with County Louth Vocational Education Committee; if so, when this will be implemented; the location of the administrative centre; the plans, if any, she has for the present administrative centre in Drogheda; the way in which the chief executive officer will be appointed; the criteria to be used; the plans, if any, she has concerning existing office holders in the town and county; the plans, if any, she has for the existing clerical and administrative staff in Drogheda; if past service of staff will be preserved including the service of teaching staff; if the teaching staff will retain the existing right to be transferred only within their own vocational education committee area; the financial saving, if any, which will be made by any such amalgamation; if she will make a statement on the matter in the interest of both vocational education committees and the staff involved.
