174 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there has been no public health nurse service for two months in Whitechurch Estate, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The public health nurse serving the Whitechurch Estate has been on sick leave since the end of January. In her absence her area is being covered by other public health nurses so that at no stage has the Whitechurch Estate been left without a public health nursing service. The Eastern Health Board has now engaged an additional nurse on a temporary basis to supplement the service until such time as the nurse who is on sick leave is fit to resume duty.
