Ceist:144 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment the assistance which is available from (a) the national lottery (b) Structural Funds and (c) any other source for the provision of and extension of golf course facilities.
Written Answers. - Golf Course Facilities Funding.
Projects of this kind would, in principle, be eligible for assistance under the amenities recreational facilities grant scheme, subject to compliance with the relevant conditions, including the conditions about public or community use. In practice, however, it is unlikely that most proposals for golf course extensions would meet these conditions.
There are no other source of funds for which I am responsible from which assistance could be made available for golf course extensions.
