113 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the present position regarding start-up or installation grants for young farmers in the various EC countries; the level of such grants, if any, in each of the member states at present; if Ireland's system of grant aid in such cases is equal to that of other European countries; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The information requested is as set out in the table which is being circulated in the Official Report. It is considered that the level of premium paid to young farmers in this country is adequate having regard to budgetary resources.
