43 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Education when she will be in a position to make a decision on the appeal of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary against refusal by Tipperary (North Riding) County Council to sanction a higher education grant.
A decision in this case on certain technical points may have wider implications. My Department have been involved, therefore, in a very careful examination of the issues in consultation with the local authority. It has been necessary to request certain additional information. When this information is available every effort will be made to expedite a decision.
