15 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when he will announce details of the new national food policy, which takes account of product development, employment potential and the ability of the food industry to compete after 1992.
The Government's policy for the food industry is set out in the Strategy for the Food and Drink Industry 1988-92 prepared by the IDA in consultation with my Department, a document to which I referred the Deputy in my reply of 9 November 1989 to a similar question. That document takes account of product development, employment potential and the ability of the food industry to compete after 1992.
