Vol. 399 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

59 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This applicant has already received a 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme. However, further investigation is necessary in this case before a decision can be made as to whether he can be paid the balance due under that scheme and the full amounts due under the 1989 calf premium and suckler cow premium schemes.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

60 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm development grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Madeleine Taylor-Quinn

Ceist:

61 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payment of a suckler cow grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

Payments to this applicant under the 1989 cattle and equines headage, special beef premium and calf premium schemes have already been made.

He was not eligible under the 1989 EC suckler cow scheme because he was engaged in commercial milk production.

Application forms for the 1990 EC suckler cow scheme are not yet available. It is expected that they will be available by mid-June.

Madeleine Taylor-Quinn

Ceist:

62 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid the remainder of a headage grant and special calf premium and reactor grant.

This applicant has already received a 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 cattle and equine headage scheme.

Payments of the balance due under that scheme and the full amounts due under the 1989 calf premium and special beef premium scheme are being processed and will issue shortly.

The herd in question was derestricted in October 1989 and all grants due under the disease eradication schemes have been paid.
