Ceist:45 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance when a tax refund will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a notice of assessment for the year 1989-90 was issued by the inspector of taxes to the taxpayer on 6 June 1990, showing a tax credit of £389.29. This credit arises from an estimate of the tax deducted from the taxpayer's pension. To determine if a repayment of tax is due, the inspector requires details of pay and tax actually deducted from the pension. The taxpayer has been asked to supply this information.
