123 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education when the AIDS education programme for schools will be available; whether she will issue guidelines or instructions as to its use and the use of alternative programmes; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The intention is that the educational resource materials on AIDS, which are being developed by my Department in consultation with the Department of Health, will be made available to post-primary schools generally next September. The resource materials will include guidance on education about AIDS generally as well as on the use of the particular educational materials being provided.
