32 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Finance, in view of the adverse employment indicators which apply to Roscommon town, Boyle and Castlerea, if he has any plans to initiate a Civil Service decentralisation programme to one or all of these towns.
As the Deputy may be aware, earlier in the year the Government announced its decision to extend the decentralisation programme to five additional centres throughout the country.
I regret to inform the Deputy that locations in Co. Roscommon were not amongst the centres chosen in this extension to the programme from the many locations considered.
