Ceist:105 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Marine when a registration licence will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in respect of his vessel.

I understand from the registrar general of fishing boats that no application for the registration of this vessel has been received from the person in question.
Information supplied to my Department in 1988 by the then owner of the vessel indicated that it had been wrecked. If the vessel is, in fact, still in existence, the current owner should submit to the registrar general a completed registration application form together with a survey report on the condition of the vessel and evidence that the vessel has been actively fishing in recent times.
