Vol. 403 No. 1

Written Answers. - Donegal Beaches.

Roger T. Garland

Ceist:

107 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for the Marine whether, regarding Inver beach, County Donegal, he has received advice from the Chief State Solicitor's Office in relation to the powers available to him to counteract the type of activity concerned; and if he will make a statement on his intentions in the matter.

Eamon Gilmore

Ceist:

108 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Marine the reason for the delay in having the barbed wire fence which is erected below the water mark, at Drumbeg Beach, Inver, County Donegal, removed.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 107 and 108 together.

I am sure that Deputies will understand that legal advice to me from the Chief State Solicitor's Office must remain confidential.

My Department are in touch with all relevant parties to ensure an early resolution of this matter.
