Ceist:218 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health the grants and support paid by his Department or by any health board in 1990 to the National Association for the Deaf; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Eastern Health Board is providing a grant of £16,000 to the National Association for the Deaf in 1990. The association also receive a grant of approximately £6,500 from the National Rehabilitation Board.
The funding of organisations such as the National Association for the Deaf is a matter for individual health boards.
