288 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if the refurbishment programme for the home economics room in St. Laurence's community college, Drogheda, County Louth can proceed in the near future, in view of the difficult conditions pertaining in the college; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Proposals and a report on tenders which have been submitted by the Town of Drogheda VEC for the upgrading of the home economics facilities at St. Laurence's community college, Drogheda are currently being examined in the building unit of my Department. The rate at which this project and all such capital projects may proceed is dependent on the availability of resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities. In the circumstances I am not in a position at present to say when the project may proceed but I will keep the Deputy informed of developments.
