76 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the work he expects to be carried out on the Royal Canal in 1991; and when he expects work will commence on the low bridge replacements, which will enable this canal to be navigable from Dublin to the Shannon.
I expect that the work of restoring the section of the Royal Canal between Blanchardstown and the River Liffey will continue and should be substantially completed by the end of 1991. A programme has not yet been drawn up for replacement of the low bridges referred to by the Deputy.
