77 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline his plans for the repair and renovation of the Garda station in Cahir, County Tipperary; when these works will commence; the proposed expenditure involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Detailed planning is proceeding on the provision of a new Garda district headquarters on the site of the recently acquired ESB premises in Cahir, County Tipperary. Full costings are not yet available. It is hoped to be in a position to invite tenders for the work in late 1991 with a view to placing a contract as soon as possible thereafter, funds permitting.
