The total allocation of funds administered by my Department for youth services increased from £8,945,000 in 1990 to £9.806 million in 1991.
The actual distribution by scheme of the funds will vary from year to year with increasing emphasis being placed on schemes directed specifically towards the disadvantaged.
For the specific scheme referred to — the youth services grant scheme — the amount made available in 1991 was only marginally less than in 1990 — £3.9 million compared with £4 million.
