Ceist:

26 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Defence the number of occasions on which sanctions were imposed by commanding officers on soldiers arising out of alleged breaches of regulations and directly related to efforts on the part of personnel to establish representative associations.

No member of the Permanent Defence Forces has been charged with a breach of regulations as a consequence of any activity associated with the establishment of representative associations. The question of the imposition of sanctions did not, therefore, arise.
