Ceist:32 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of reviews of (1) industrial policy and (2) industrial performances which have been published by (a) his Department and (b) NESC since 1977.

My Department published a White Paper on Industrial Policy in 1984 and two Reviews of Industrial Performance in 1987 and 1990.
I am informed that NESC published six reports dealing with aspects of industrial policy and performance in the period 1981 to 1985. NESC also referred to industrial policy in three broader strategic studies in the period 1986 to 1990.
