78 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will outline in relation to the decentralisation of certain sections of his Department to Sligo the number of surplus staff in the grades of assistant principal, higher executive officer, executive officer, staff officer and clerical officer who were retained within his Department and the number of staff in these grades who were redeployed to other Departments and the Department in each case.

The information requested by the Deputy concerning staff who were available for redeployment after all staff transferring to Sligo had been replaced is set out as follows:

79 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will outline in relation to the decentralisation of certain sections of his office to Letterkenny the number of surplus staff in the grades of assistant principal, higher executive officer, executive officer, staff officer and clerical officer who were retained within his Department and the number of staff in these grades who were redeployed to other Departments and the Department in each case.

The numbers of staff, in the grades requested, who were available for redeployment after all staff transferring to Letterkenny had been replaced are set out as follows. They were retained within my Department to meet normal staffing requirements.
