Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

333 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment his views on the way in which Kildare County Council can eliminate water pollution at Robertstown, County Kildare in 1992; if he has received proposals from the local authority in the matter; if such proposals contain recommendations in respect of sewage treatment; if he anticipates the implementation of these proposals during 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 331 and 333 together.

Grants for approved public sewerage schemes to abate pollution are provided for in my Department's Vote.

Tender proposals for the Robertstown sewerage scheme, which will provide secondary treatment facilities, are at present under consideration in my Department.
