372 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if she will make a statement on the ongoing dispute between her Department and the Department of Justice regarding the operation of the Central Mental Hospital in Dundrum; if this dispute has now been resolved; and when the unit will open.
There is no dispute between my Department and the Department of Justice in relation to the operation of the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum. There was some debate as to the appropriate use of a new unit at the hospital but the matter has been resolved and it will be commissioned as an integral part of the hospital within the next few months.
