Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Agricultural Grant Application.

Terry Leyden

Ceist:

368 Mr. Leyden asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will investigate the circumstances surrounding the refusal of an installation aid grant for young farmers to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will outline the way in which an applicant born prior to 1 January 1968 when the scheme was suspended which prevented the applicant obtaining required education qualifications could obtain 180 hours educational qualifications required.

The applicant in this case is ineligible for an installation aid grant as he did not possess the necessary educational qualifications within two years of installation as required under the relevant EC regulations.

The provision of training courses was not affected by the temporary suspension of the installation aid scheme in 1987.

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

369 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

This person's application for grants under the 1991 EC suckler cow premium scheme is being processed and payment will issue shortly.

John V. Farrelly

Ceist:

370 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person's application for grants under the 1991 EC suckler cow premium scheme for small scale milk producers is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made shortly.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

371 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid his cattle headage grant for 1991.

This applicant has been paid his 1991 special beef premium scheme grant already. His 1991 cattle headage and suckler cow premium schemes grants are being processed and payments will issue shortly.
