Ceist:62 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the up-to-date position this year on crime in rural areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Rural Crime.
Official figures for indictable crime are recorded on a calendar year basis and are published in the Commissioner's Annual Report on Crime copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. I am informed by the Garda authorities that official figures are not available on the recorded incidences of crime in rural areas so far this year.
