Ceist:122 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice when new assistant film censors will be appointed; if a short list has been drawn up; and the number of appointments expected to be made.
Written Answers. - Assistant Film Censors.
I am currently examining the question of the appointment of assistant censors to assist the Film Censor in the performance of the additional functions conferred on him by the Video Recordings Act, 1989. This examination includes matters such as the number of assistants who will be required, their pay and conditions of service and hours of attendance. When this examination has been completed a sufficient number of persons will be selected for appointment.
