Ceist:120 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if he is planning a video for GP's to advise on drug prescribing; if so, if he will give details of the proposed content and the targeted achievement of such a video.

The agreement on the GMS scheme reached between the Irish Medical Organisation and my predecessor includes measures to contain prescribing costs. The need to provide regular prescribing information to individual general practitioners has been acknowledged and the question of producing a video containing professional therapeutic guidelines is being considered in that context.
