Vol. 431 No. 6

Written Answers. - Land Registry.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

68 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice if she will expedite land registry details for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick as the person has applied for an installation aid grant and, in his present financial circumstances, is urgently in need of the grant; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the dealing in question was lodged on 12 March, 1993, that it is associated with another application for boundary retification and that it cannot be processed further until the latter application is completed.

Due to a pressure of work in the Land Registry generally, finalisation of an application of the nature of the associated application in this case would in the ordinary way, take some further months. It is, however, the policy of the Land Registry, in so far as possible, to expedite cases of special urgency. Any such cases will be specially considered if details of the reasons for urgency are submitted to the Registrar of Titles.
