25 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a special grant to Cork Corporation towards the cost of the Action Plan for the Historic Centre of Cork; if he has to approve the plan when completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The total estimated cost of Cork Corporation's action plan study for the Historic Centre of Cork is £110,000. The study has been approved for 70 per cent funding by the EC Commission. The local authority is responsible for meeting the balance of the cost from within its own resources. The completed plan will not be subject to my approval.
