Ceist:110 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if there are any measures required to be taken in his remit of responsibility to comply with the terms of the Single Market; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 109 and 110 together.
There is no special action arising for my Department in order to secure compliance with the terms of the Single Market or the Maastricht Treaty. However, my Department will undertake such legislative or other actions in the social policy area as may be needed to give effect to EC obligations within its remit.
