83 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when a decision will be made in relation to an application for an international haulier's licence for a company (details supplied) in County Kildare, in view of the fact that all of the information requested by his Department was submitted by the applicants on 21 October 1993.
The company referred to by the Deputy has not yet fully satisfied my Department that it meets all of the requirements necessary to obtain a road freight carrier's licence in accordance with current departmental regulations. My Department is in communication with the applicant with a view to clarifying certain aspects of their application and a licence will issue as soon as these matters are satisfactorily resolved.
