Vol. 441 No. 1
90 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment in view of the condition of the county roads in County Louth, the extra allocation, if any, that he will make; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Last February, I notified local authorities of their discretionary grant allocations for non-national roads in 1994 and I have no proposals to alter these. I am at present considering applications from local authorities under the new scheme of grants for specific improvement works on non-national roads which have a significant and quantifiable economic impact. A total of £33.6 million is available to finance approved works in 1994 and I will notify local authorities of their allocations as soon as possible.
