Ceist:165 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if it is permissible under the new milk quota regulations to purchase a quota and subsequently sell the land for afforestation.

The operation of the milk quota system in Ireland, including the transfer of land to which milk quota is attached, is governed by the European Communities (Milk Quota) Regulations, 1994 (S.I. No. 70 of 1994), a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
