Vol. 442 No. 3

Written Answers. - Angiogram Service

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

192 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the long waiting times for an angiogram in the Dublin area which can be up to one year; the action, if any, he will take to reduce this waiting time for what is no more than a test to identify needed treatment.

Acutely ill patients have their angiograms within a very short time and there is no waiting list for these cases.

Less acute patients may have to wait for a longer period and the waiting time varies depending on the particular hospital.
