106 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry his views on the EU Commission proposal to substantially increase the Italian milk quota; whether he is pressing for similar increases to the Irish quota; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As part of the 1994-95 annual farm price review, the EU Commission has proposed that the Italian milk quota should be 9.9 million tonnes for 1994-95, the same as that available to Italy in 1993-94.
